Casal di Pari

Casale di Pari was also a small center of the Ardengheschi who later submitted to Siena. Little or nothing remains of the old settlement, which is supposed to date back to the 12th century, except for the ancient structure with its narrow streets and a small square overlooked by terraces and small arches. In ancient times Casale included a few dwellings for families working in the fields and what is still called the Bishop’s Residence. Unfortunately, very little remains of the noble building: in fact, a few modest dwellings were built there, destroying the primitive and clear architectural form. Casale, an ancient hamlet hidden in the woods, remains today a small village where one can breathe fresh, healthy air with an ancient flavor.
