Little or nothing remains of the old settlement, which is supposed to date back to the 12th century, except for the ancient structure with its narrow streets and a small square overlooked by terraces and small arches. In ancient times Casale included a few dwellings for families working in the fields and what is still called the Bishop&#8217;s Residence. Unfortunately, very little remains of the noble building: in fact, a few modest dwellings were built there, destroying the primitive and clear architectural form.
